Before I started working,

I performed a market analysis of companies

offering the same product.

In platforms that offer similar services, I have researched the user experience and the process that the business owner goes through until they receive the order.

I conducted interviews and surveys with business owners

to understand the process of communication and placing orders

with suppliers to identify their pain points.

The survey revealed that the contract with most of the suppliers is conducted in an exhausting, cumbersome and outdated manner.

Most of them hoped that there would be an effective and available solution.

Most of the respondents mentioned that they have difficulty managing the orders because they are conducted through messages or phone calls making it challenging to track changes.

How satisfied are you with the way

you transact with the supplier?

What is your biggest challenge/difficulty

when dealing with the supplier?

During an interview at the store, I asked the seller to show me how he makes an order,

to my astonishment, he took out a stack of folded papers from his pocket.
He told me that each page represented an invitation to another supplier.

"I don't have time to type the whole list, so I write on a paper,
take a photo and send it to the supplier."

After getting to know the persona,

I moved on to understand his current ordering process

After resonating with the pain point,

I understood the great need for the product.

Nadav is a family man and a young business owner, who loves innovations that make daily life easier.

He manages a gadget store and loves to stay updated on new and cool products

I place my orders from 14 different suppliers,
each with its own unique process.

It becomes overwhelming when I need to get a hold of the details for each order. It often happens that I forget to order products, I don't see the suppliers’ messages about out-of-stock products,
and I don't have the option to track each order.

Waste of time

Loss of control

Updates and offers

Business owners are busy with the day-to-day operation of the store and dealing with each supplier in a different way (whatsapp, email, phone) wastes his valuable time, which in turn, comes at the expense of the clients.

Any changes and additions to the order,
as well as, follow-ups after the shipment,
require a contact with the supplier, who is not always available and responsive.

Products that are out of stock or new products have not been updated in the supplier's catalog. This makes it hard to compare between suppliers, which is the most profitable.

My initial project in characterizing and designing user experiences was a great experience. The conversations with business owners and hours spend observing different stores (some of which I have already become part of the view) and connecting to the pain points were a unique challenge. The constant pursuit of precise changes and improvements was most exciting, in addition to reaching the finish line with great satisfaction. To see the enthusiasm of the users presented with the solutions was the ultimate fulfillment.
